Ezekiel 21:9-11

9 “Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘Thus says [a]the Lord.’ Say,

‘(A)A sword, a sword sharpened
And also polished!
10 Sharpened to make a (B)slaughter,
Polished [b]to flash like lightning!’

Or shall we [c]rejoice in the [d]scepter of My son? The sword (C)despises every tree. 11 It is given to be polished, that it may be seized by the [e]hand; the sword is sharpened and polished, to give it into the hand of the one who kills.
